Mini milestone sessions are perfect for babies around 4, 6, and 8 months old. Whether they are discovering their toes, sitting up for the first time, or giving you those big gummy smiles, these sessions are all about documenting who they are right now.

The Sweet One | First Birthday Cake Smash

One whole year of loving, learning, growing, and making memories deserves to be celebrated.

A cake smash session is the perfect way to celebrate your little one's first birthday. We’ll capture a mix of beautiful milestone portraits, all the fun of the cake smash, and those messy little moments you’ll never want to forget.

Growing up

Choose the milestone session that fits your little one’s stage: mini milestone sessions are perfect for capturing those sweet 4, 6, and 8-month moments, while the first birthday cake smash celebrates their big ONE with plenty of personality and fun. For ages 2–18, milestone sessions are designed to capture your child as they grow, from birthdays to simply celebrating who they are right now. Above, you can see examples of each.

STEP 01

Say Hello!

Let’s celebrate this stage of their life! Tell me a little about your child, what milestone you’re celebrating, and what you’re envisioning for their session. Whether they’re 6 months, turning one, or celebrating another year, I’ll help you choose the session that fits them best. I take on a limited number of sessions each month, so reaching out early is the best way to secure your date.

STEP 02

Get On My Calendar

Once we’ve chosen the perfect session, we’ll get your date officially booked. I’ll send over your client contract and invoice for the retainer fee to secure your session. You’ll also receive a questionnaire so I can learn more about your child and make sure their session feels completely personal to them.

STEP 03

Customize it

Now for the fun part! We’ll plan all the little details that make their session unique. We’ll chat about outfits, colours, props, cake smash details, and the overall look you’re going for. Whether you want something simple and timeless, playful and colourful, or completely personalized, I’ll help bring your vision together.

STEP 04

Your Milestone Session

Come ready to have fun and let your child be themselves! We’ll capture a mix of natural smiles, sweet little details, personality-filled moments, and beautiful portraits. For younger babies, we’ll work around their mood and pace. For older children, we’ll let their personalities take the lead. No two milestone sessions are ever quite the same—and that’s what makes them special.

STEP 05

Image Delivery

After your session, I’ll carefully select and professionally edit your images before delivering your final gallery. Once your images are ready, you’ll be able to choose your favourites and order beautiful printed artwork, albums, canvases, and more. Because these little stages don’t last forever, your images are meant to be enjoyed long after the session is over.
